| Re: winter carping ? I go in the winter. Ive always kept a bit of bait going in. They will feed just not as often. The carp also feel les pressured in winter as lots of people don't fish. Maggots and worms seem to work best. Also sweetcorn also cast to showing fish with small pva bags and hi viz baits. Always worth a try tj |

| Re: winter carping ? very rarely now but i used to look for a mild break in the weather couple of days gets them out the mud but still threw a bit and i mean a bit of bait in my fav swims had one or two over the years but i tend to switch to pike now |

| Re: winter carping ? Used to to do winter Piking in the 70's. Memories of freezing January/February days down on the Lincolnshire Fens, mostly fishless ! Now and again a nice double or two ! Ripple. |
