| Re: bed or no bed of bait That's a tough question for me as I don't fish waters even nearly that big, the biggest I fish is 22 acres. If I was fishing it though, I'd probaly spod in quite a lot of bait but keep it within a tight are of say 6ft, you can then position baits on top of it without too many worries. What is the stocking level like? __________________ Dan `·.¸¸.·´¯`·.¸ Big or small, look after them all! ¸.·´¯`·.¸ ><((((º> |

| Re: bed or no bed of bait Must admit I do not fish waters that big but what I do is - target baiting ( just made that name up )Basics are think of a target and it rings Outer ring very light baiting and then increase as you go to the center. As dan say the 6/8 foot is were the main bait is loaded The idea is that if a fish is swimming 30 foot away then I want it to notice the bait and then track inwards I do this because I have seen carp change there swim pattern if they find a free bit of food Does it work well think so but you can never tell __________________ Richard|Sea Fishing |Carp Fishing| Spud Gun | Zander fishing | Fishing Reports | Hunting Reports |
