Transmiter/Receiver for bite alarms

I've just got back into carping after a six year lay off and want a remote sounder box for my old delkims but dont want a wired set up with leads running everywhere. Does anyone know if there is a transmiter/receiver system that can be bought, doesnt have to be delkim, where the transmitter sits near to the bite alarms and the receiver would be located in the bivvy.

The water i'm fishing throughout the remainder of this season is a river with several houses in fairly close proximity and I dont want to be disturbing the inhabitants with loud alarms and as the bank is fairly steep the rods will be at the waters edge and I'll be set up on top of the bank making this sort of wireless system quite essential.

Re: Transmiter/Receiver for bite alarms

The original delkims had a "tx2000" system that plugged into the bottom and worked with a wireless reciever, these however dont seem to be made anymore and they are quite sought after on ebay it seems.

There is a new wireless system available the "Tx" but that seems to only fit newer model delkims!

Fox do a "add on" system called the TXR but it is one reciever and wires to go to the three alarms so is only any good on buzzer bar set ups.

Again not sure if that is still made.

Gardener make one currently

But its too dear imo.

Hope this helps.

Re: Transmiter/Receiver for bite alarms

Thanks for that mate. I have to agree that it's too expensive. If I could find a way of waterproofing a baby monitor I might be tempted to buy one of those!
