Hi Toman,
that looks like a koi to me. We get those over here but not so many are stocked in lakes to catch, they're more an ornimental fish for ponds.

Looks a lovely fish, did you catch it?

That was catch in a wildpond or what you call a mining pond,Other than that what we have here,are Rohu and grass-carp ,which I don't know if it's a carp too.

We have grass carp here too, also mirror, linear, common, leather, ghost, crucian

Salamat Toman, Welcome to the Forum

I used to visit Malaysia 2 or 3 times a year as I worked for Sime Tyres part of Sime Derby Group, so know KL pretty well. Also Langkawi, Alor Setar, Tiamin and Camaroon Highlands. I fished for Barracuda, Grouper and bottom fish around Langkawi.

There was a lake there in KL in front of the Holiday Villa Hotel, and had a restaurant called The Crocodile. I always saw people fishing it for carp and other types of fish, mainly with meat pastes etc. Never had chance to have a go myself, maybe the next time I visit on holiday.
