hi went fishing on sunday with new tactics, ground bate ,3mm pellets ,squid bolies (i think) and pva bags. i was fishing with bolie on a hair rig with 15lb brade with a size 10 hook and a back lead and still no bites ther was loads of fish in my swim but thay didnt bite. can any one help

what were the fish you saw in the swim ?

very small pellet 3mm

Hard to say without knowing a bit about the water.

Do squid boilies work well on your lake or did you just use them because thats all you had? lol

Maybe try natural baits to start off with, meat and corn you know will work. I had to do that last time out.

It is also worth saying the last couple of weeks it has really started to feel wintery round here, knocked the fish right off the lake I fish.

i only had squid boilies. i was asking around the local fishing shop and the lads that work there said corn work well so goin to give that a go this weekend

as bungz said ,,,,,if your fishing with boilies unless you know other anglers catch on the paticular ones you have it can be hard work weeks of throwing bait at fish with no results ,,,way i would takle it is find out if it is a fishmeal boilie water or fruit flavoure ,,then i would pre bait a swim for a few days with a few of the chosen boilies ,,look for signes over the baited area bubbles streamers crashing or roling fish ,,i use a fish finder wen i bait up a cheat i know but each to his own ,,good first time boilie ritchworth tuti fruiti frozen ,,,starwberry jam ,,,and the cell ,,but be prepared for a long wait till they turn on to your bait ,,,good luck
