Re: Alternatives to Groundbait, boilies & method feeders

Brilliant thank you. That is a fab list.

Must raid the larder. Wife said "you have spent more time in the !$^&%% kitchen since getting back into fishing than ever before but its all !&**^ bait for those stupid fish"

Re: Alternatives to Groundbait, boilies & method feeders

i was wondering earlier whether you could mix stuff like cheese sauce granules in with hemp/sweetcorn/breadcrumb and a bit of water to stiffen it together

Re: Alternatives to Groundbait, boilies & method feeders

dodger u can use anything you like but you have to persevere with a bait of your own making, thats where the boilie manufacturers make a killing, ppl buy 1 bag of boilies and they dont work so they adjust a flavour call it somthing else and you go round in a circles spending mony u didnt need to ,dosnt mean to say the carp dont like em its prolly that they dont recognize them as a food source, you have to wean them on to baits could take weeks ,good point is if you catch on them and no one else is using them ur on a winner , i stick to richworth tutis and strawberry jam frozens and crab bios ,,remember some waters have a prefrence some will fish well with fruit baits some with fish based some with naturals ask the owner or a few anglers tho carpers can be secretive there are a few of us will help lol

i dont really mind if i dont catch i just enjoy getting out with nature, sitting snd chilling. Ive spent alot on hemp/maggots and pellets so far with not much success so trying anything else thats cheaper is something worth while, if im not catching any way....
