hi i wondering if i can use just bread to attarct carp , but do i still need s float on, also can i just put maggots on an cast out with out a float

yes, bread is a cracking bait. either float fish using a bread punch or surface fishing or evening flake on a ledger rig. if surface fishing you could use pedigree chum mixer as an attractant and fish crust in the middle of it. the trick with surface fishing is to gain their confidence. i'd probably feed for a good 1/2 hour before offering a hookbait.
