| HELP! This is getting expensive OK so the problem is, in the pond i fish for carp there are also cats to 35lb+ (last checked 3 seasons ago if there's bigger they haven't been landed yet) which keep swallowing my rings and then don't have the decency to let them selves get landed but rather chew through my braid this small portion of the season already has cost me £50 quid on rig bits, Be it leads or lines....i mainly use korda pre made rigs (the name escapes me but its the bottom bait rig ) and fox leads... so it would be helpfull if anyone could give me some products that will help me avoid my rigs been eaten all the time thanks ninja ![]() __________________ A bad day of fishing is better than a good day of work................ | Re: HELP! This is getting expensive I would look at it like this. Pre made rigs are pricey, your paying for someone to make the rigs up for you. Anyone can spend an evening a week making a few rigs up with knotless knots so that's a few quid saved. The cat lads used to use kryston quicksilver in its heavy forms, its really tough stuff the cats dont get through that. Id say pick up a spool of 45lb quicksilver and you will prob have a catfish on the bank fairly quickly, you must be doing somthing right to keep hooking them ![]() |
