| Outfished by mrs on a £6 rod This is her indoors, playing a fish with one of her pink rods she bought off ebay for £6...yes £6....  And this is the result , a 16 pound 4 oz carp/  Outfished by her indoors , on a 6 pound rod, it just goes to show you dont need to spend a fortune on fishing gear....mac. She caught this on luncheon meat in the margins about a foot from the bank where she was sitting, she had been throwing in sweetcorn and homemade groundbait to entice them in. | Re: Outfished by mrs on a £6 rod Quite right its a shimano 3500gt borrowed off her brother... we both have shimano 6010gt ,s that we got off ebay for 40 pound each but i was just highlighting the fact you can buy cheap stuff and not pay the earth,yet still catch very nice fish, Its just that i replied to a couple of posts on here from newbies , saying you dont need to spend great amounts until your sure you want to spend more money, and these pics show you can do this with a six quid rod . cheers and well done for noticing  __________________ 2011 best, carp 21lb, sturgeon 13.5 lb, bream 8lb, eel 4lb |
