Yeah, caught plenty of carp on them, and some monster roach too.

Do you mean the fruit mate, or banana flavoured stuff, i.e. boilies etc..

I've thought this before, hair rigging a cube of apple, would stay on a hook well too, and I'm sure the carp, tench etc would take to them... Gotta be worth a try

Re: A change to maggots

If anyone is intrested?

I have got lots of methods on how to prepare all different types of baits from flavours to recipies. If any one wants over the wk end i will put them up on either this thread or a new thread. i will even put a guide up about ground baits and the different types. Also the correct way to prepare it.

Re: A change to maggots

sorry old post i have dragged up...

did anyone try the apple cubes?.. i believe its floats! we used to use this for the mullet at one venue to catch them off the surface as its tough and weighty so could freeline it at a distance

Re: A change to maggots

hhhmmm korda maggot clip great concept but after i used them in france the lake the lake owner banned them cause they come un-done if to many maggots are added to them and he did not want his fish to pick up the clips with maggot on them as he feels this will damage his fish
as he,s on the korda tackle testing team and was a writer for carp world and is in the book century or carp fishing the owner (keith Moores ) was writing to danny fairbrass on this matter .

after this i have now gone back to threading mine back on to a thin piece of thread
tightlines
