| New Rods - eBay Bargains :D Just got back into carping again after what is likely to be a 10 year hiatus, im 28 now and I guess I gave up regular carp fishing when i was 17 18 (about the time you start drinking women etc). As a lad I had a pair of Shimano perfection 2 1/4 tc rods. I guess I had them when I was about 13. I fished small club waters regularly and they fitted the bill. They are incredibly soft though, but it is what I am used to and I dont suffer from hook pulls .I also have a pair of treves of wilmslow 2.75 amorphous but for the waters I have started fishing again they are a bit overkill. Long and the short of it is the perfections have been hammered and although would prob last another few seasons the rings arent the best and tbh I just wanted something new. It was a close call between another pair of shimanos or have a hunt around and see what Daiwas I could pick up. On ebay I was lucky enough to pick up 3 Daiwa Mission X 2.25tc for £28 quid each still with the tags on Just picked em up and they look quality but god are they so thin and also they are far stiffer than the old perfections of the same tc, soft enough though I think. Anyway will hopefully get to test them later if the weather picks up ![]() Will stick a review up after a few fish on them. Anyone else had a eBay bargain worth shouting about? |

| Re: New Rods - eBay Bargains :D i need a telescopic rod for when i go on holiday can any1 reccomend 1? __________________ A bad day of fishing is better than a good day of work................ Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day. Teach him how to fish and he will sit on the bank and drink beer all day. |
