| Your ideas for my next Underwater Video please? I video carp underwater to help us learn thier behaviour. ![]() It is now "closed season" on the lakes but I can still video. Every year I get this great opportunity to experiment with the fish. This season it will be Boilies and in particular what can we do to get the fish to pick up the hookbait before the free offerings. So, I am asking for suggestions please? Shape, colour, sound, movement, flavour, hormones, bubbles whatever. C'mon Guys, give me some new ideas please. __________________ The secrets are here: http://www.underwatersecrets.co.uk |

| Re: Your ideas for my next Underwater Video please? Do you only do carp? It would be interesting to see how a pike approaches and takes a ledgered dead bait, and in particular the difference between taking a popped up deadbait, compared to one that is not etc. and also a deadbait floatfished off the bottom. Then again, it could be a long waiting game if my catch rate is anything to go by. The carp videos in your link are excellent by the way, it surprising how violently and quickly they shake their heads to try and throw the hook. I am slowly working my way through the vids - great stuff. |

| Re: Your ideas for my next Underwater Video please? Hi Baz, I dont only do Carp videos. I would like to do more species. However, Carp do lend themselves to this and the lake I am currantly filming on is mostly carp, very few other species. Did you not see the Perch video? I did some video of me teasing the maggots away from the perch, wich made them strike. But sadly the video's were lost to a hard drive crash. One day I will find a clear water mixed fish venue and I will be able to video all the species that I want to. __________________ The secrets are here: http://www.underwatersecrets.co.uk |

| Re: Your ideas for my next Underwater Video please? Eddy, What about an underwater video showing how fish such as Tench & Carp react to a bait fished using the 'Lift Method'? this will be invaluable to a lot of anglers. | Re: Your ideas for my next Underwater Video please? Ha, Boldbear, you beat me to it, lol. I replied to Complete Tanglers post about foul hooking on the lift method and suggested he speak to Eddy for a lift method video - seems like you had the same idea. |

| Re: Your ideas for my next Underwater Video please? Sorry Boldbear + Baz, Closed season means no fishing, hooks, rigs, lines, etc,, bait only. However, I must add video'ing the lift method to my list for when fishing is allowed. Do you think you will need a synced video of the float in real time? or will just an underwater video tell you what you want to know? __________________ The secrets are here: http://www.underwatersecrets.co.uk |

It would show us whether what we percieve is happening below the water (when we look at the float) is what is actually happening. Keith (BoldBear) __________________ My Web Site (The Average Coarse Angler) Happiness is Fish Shaped (It used to be woman shaped but the wifes getting on a bit now) |

| Re: Your ideas for my next Underwater Video please? Cheers for doing the groundwork Baz and Boldbear, Eddy, the problem I have had recently is that I have foul hooked 4 Carp on the bounce in the base of the tailfin, but they have registered proper "Lift Method" indications, so would really like to know what is going on below the waterline. I Think Baz and Boldbear might have the answer in that the Carp are fanning the bait, but we are not sure for certain. All the best - Nige (Complete Tangler) |
