Re: Your ideas for my next Underwater Video please? Love the Lift method idea, but that cant happen untill the new season. I want to put LARGE boilies in fron of the fish. So, can anyone sugest a readilly available ingredient to negate the wieght of a larger boilie? The Camera is ready and goes into the lake tomorrow, but what with the recent rain the water will be too coloured for video until the later part of next week. __________________ The secrets are here: http://www.underwatersecrets.co.uk

| Re: Your ideas for my next Underwater Video please? you could try a greedy pig rig, 3x18 mm boilies on a hair. there is also the grand old debate on whats better shelf life or fresh frozen boilies. maybe you could get both the same flavour and present them together to see if there is a difference. anyway keep up the good work. ![]() __________________ If it was easy, it would be called catching. | Re: Your ideas for my next Underwater Video please? I do alot of surface fishing for carp in the summer months, i'm not sure if it would be possible for you to capture any footage that way? I've always wondered if they can see the hook, an if they can why do I still catch fish? If you chuck in a number of free baits along with the hookbait, no doubt the one left is the hookbait... clever fish. I tend to use a hair-rigged dog biscuit so if you could do anything with that I would be very interested. |

Re: Your ideas for my next Underwater Video please? Sorry pikehunter, Pike dont lend themselves to video. They move too much. However, I did video a pike by accident once. It swam left to right across the shot. The strange thing was it was being followed by 20-30 prey fish swimming behind it. I can only think that they have learned the safest place to be is behind the Pike. Sadly, the video was lost to a hard drive crash. It would have been a Utube classic. __________________ The secrets are here: http://www.underwatersecrets.co.uk

Re: Your ideas for my next Underwater Video please? Haha thats brilliant mate! Would have loved to have seen that! What way do you set your cameras up? Could you not set a camera up and have it facing a popped up deadbait infront of it? It might take an hour, but something might happen!?! Note: (I know NOTHING about doing what you do, I'm just asking stupid questions lol)

Re: Your ideas for my next Underwater Video please? I too have caught 2 Carp recently by the base of the tail fin. The second one I foul hooked was fighting like a Blue Merlin jumping around, I knew straight away it was foul hooked by the tail fin somehow. Not sure how easy it would be to catch this on film but good luck! Love all the videos btw, very interesting.

Re: Your ideas for my next Underwater Video please? Thanks for all of your ideas. However this years closed season experiments were a disaster due to the exeptional weather we had during may. I did manage to film some of your ideas and these can be seen here: http://www.underwatersecrets.co.uk/page7 More video's to follow. I did make some 40mm yellow balanced boilies. They stayed in the swim uneaten for days. I will put that video up soon but the water quality is poor. However, this did give me time to install the new Island camera. Which should give us some very interesting video over the coming months. Everyone fishes to an Island dont they? ![]() __________________ The secrets are here: http://www.underwatersecrets.co.uk

Re: Your ideas for my next Underwater Video please? Great stuff Eddy. Very interesting about the spodding and catapulted boilie etc. Also the tipped boilie film was excellent. That island cam looks as if it will provide some interesting filming, as it will be good to see what goes on in and around the island/margins. Keep up the good work - Thanks. Also I couldnt get the link for page 7 to work (in your post above), so just went to your website and paged along to page 7.
