Question meat and hemp on the pole

I am going to try for the carp again,the last time i tryed for carp on the pole the elastic snapped which is not to good.anyway i was wondering has anyone tryed this method meat on the hook and litlle cubes of meat and hemp as freebies.becasuse i have seen some other anglers using this method bagging up on the carp with it.so really i am asking is it a good method.

Oh yes, well worth a try. I use lidls bacon grill i find it stays on the hook better :-)

also fry it off a little to make it even tougher, you can also add flavourings such as curry powder or tumeric at this stage

push a couple of tins of luncheon meat through your groundbait riddle into a bowl dont squeeze it together but add a little groundbait or pellet powder and carefully mix, dont add any water,then cube another tin into about 6mm cubes, cup out the riddled meat on your pole.and fish over it with your hookies and hold on - Bag-up time. its won me lots of matches

on a hot summers day i cut the meat into cubes and let the sun 'bake' it. soon turns a bit tougher with the juice flowing!
