| Re: high speed rail link Apart from the damage to the environment this is one very ill thought out idea. Is it just being driven by companies in London looking to rellocate to the Midlands to cut costs ? The money would much better be spent getting people out of their cars when they don't need to be in them and helping rural communities who have no choice but to use their cars. I have lived in a village where there were two buses to Nottingham in the morning, one too early and one too late. Then the one , yes ONE from Nottingham meant you'd be doing 5 hour days.
