stumped!!

hello people need some help with my new reels shimano navi xsa 7000's, evertime i strike into a fish i have to clasp my hand over the spool to stop the line from spilling out surely there is some sort of bait-runner setting on the drag any help would be greatly appreciated.

I think the Mavis have a front spool the same as the the shimmy ultegras...when I'm on my laptop later I'll find you some literature on them...or type "how to use a front spool" on google or YouTube...

ive got the shimano biomaster 8000s and have the same prob, well not a prob, i love my reels, you do have to strike then tighten front spool but u get used to it, ive landed many fish using those badboys

why have your clutch set so slack ?
