| Testing knot strength Hi guys Do you guys test your knots ie if tying a load of rigs for example do you test to destruction before tying the rest? I have never had a knot go on me but my mate the other day had his go on him twice and one the whole hooklink had come off fro The kwik link ( knot undone) the other time it snapped at the knot. He seemed amazed when I asked of he had ever tested his knots. Say I'm tying a new material together I will put on a knot ever end to swivel for example and get to pulling tools and check as i find for example thay different make coated braids work better with different knots. I make sure that the hooklink ( mostly in the middle ) and then I know my knots are stronger than the breaking strain of the material. I think it should be don't especially tying leaders on to make sure they don't come off. Anyone else do this? Regards |

| Re: Testing knot strength yep, i always test my hooklink knots for strength and i always use grinner knots to connect to my mainline, which are pretty much failproof. __________________ If it was easy, it would be called catching. Now I may be an idiot, but there is one thing I am not, sir, and that, sir, is an idiot..... |
