Reels?

Hi, im looking to buy some new reels for carping. I have spent a few quid the last couple of years on reels, I look after my gear very well, but unfortunately the reels I have used just haven't lasted, reliability and build quality have let me down.

However does anybody recommend any Big pit or equivalent reels.
I'm looking for a top end reel for the Long haul, that will last a long time, as I have had few problems I dont mind spending a little more if need be.

I was looking around and liked the look of the Daiwa Iso 5500, any recommendations?

if i was spending big bucks i would buy DAIWA Basiair 45 QD

as iam not i would buy second hand ultegra 12000

I use Shimmy Ultegra 12000 xte's...good reel for the money...

Would be scared of getting my basia's dirty if I could afford them.

I am also on the look for some new reels and was really struggling to decide. I opened up a discussion on this and quite a few people sugested the Shimano Ultegras so think come next year that will be what I get.

You looked at the Daiwa Emblems ? they seem like tidy big pit reels

Bomb proof for cement mixers .. Shimano aerlex is another good reel too

Daiwa entoh mate or shimano ultegta xta 12000

Would recommend the entohs personally. Lighter and don't hold as much line (but hold enough) i use the ultegras for my marker and spod but would make a good fishing reel. I couldn't get on with the baitrunner spool. Also
Pick up 3 x entohs for under 300 with spare spools.
