Iphone for carp fishing

I always like to take my iphone carp fishing with me. Its got many great uses including compass, weather forecasts to name but a few.

Some of the specifica apps are good and I like to use

CARP LAKES - A guide to carp lakes in the Uk and France and also

Gone Fishing - a log book on your iphone to log all your catches

What do you use?

Re: Iphone for carp fishing

i-phones ar more than a phone i got google earth maps of 2 of the lakes i fish on that
ive patched over depth of swims, points ive fished to and ther substrate and what ive
had out of ther, wind condition, bait. i can navigate that lake in seconds of arrival and
draw a battle plan, link pics of swims and captures (all done with the points of intrest thingy).
very over the top i know but very easy
and good fun setting it up and kills time between bites, oh and sonic the hedge hog comes in handy too
(true wat they say tho i-phone users honestly think they invented the bloody thing)
thing thats been bugging me tho is why dosnt some smart ass come out with a cheap remote dongle you
can plug into the jack, make an app for it and sync it to your phone. easily done im sure!

Re: Iphone for carp fishing

intresting! that could open up a whole load of phone related carp jiggery pokery!
the i-phones the perfect hub for that sort of tech, remote bivvy light for instance?
not exactly ground breaking but sure if say nash fronted it they would fly!
that remote idea bugs me tho ive had it cooking around for ages but just not the brains to put it together, sell the dongles for £30 a pop, make it a free app (it would only get ripped off the net anyway) bingo cheap remote set ups for all or make the app a whole fishing package sell it for £10 and make it compatable to one tackle company much like delkim have with ther bits and bobs! that could go global and make sombody a very rich puppy!
not me tho i was always crap at I.T.
so we could be looking at the I-FOX range of remote alarms and lamps then?
(under note to FOX this post is dated you can you use my stroke of marketing genius but i wont some gear out of it)
