I might try the feeder on an alarm if I go again and see what happens.

I was using the ESP pva bags. They are quite good but as I say they are fiddly to tie in bad weather. I was putting the whole hook and weight in at first but sometimes it would get tangled so I just started putting the hooklength in and leaving the lead out.

I've got some of those korda quick change beads so I was thinking of making some longer hooklengths and a load of pva bags at home and then on the bank I could unclip the hooklength from the bead and thread it through the pva bag with a large baiting needle and then clip it back onto the bead.

The only problem with this would be that I couldn't use a safety bolt rig.

I'm getting there though mainly thanks to you lot on this forum. I didn't know what any of this stuff was 6 weeks ago
