Autumn carp

Hi lads, Im planning a overnight carp session on a local gravel pit in october.
I just wondered If any of the more experienced carp anglers had any tips on early autumn carp fishing. I know when the temperature really drops the carp will be eating less therefore feed should be kept to a minimum but will this apply for this time of year ? Any tips appreciated

for info,
Lake is approx 6 to 9 ft deep
stocked with carp to 34lb plus many doubles
low weed levels
no above surface features except for aerator

don't come in that category ,
but

Sept /oct time they will be on the munch mate
still on the naturals as they feed up for winter ,
Observation is the key ,
Look for patrol routes ,

I would feed quite heavy at this time of yr with particles

What would you suggest m8,
I will be fishing at about 100 yards out ,not keen on spodding ( dont even own one).
was thinking of making a load of sticks filled with hemp , crushed boilies,pigeon feed ect ?

why fish 100 yards out?.. 100 yards is a long way

I cast to the aerator as its the main feature of the lake, (unless theyve grown lilies since may)
I will be having a margin rod out also tho

i would personally look for another patrol route , if that is the main feature it has proberly been hit all season ,
Take a good pair of bins , look for moving fish , use as big as a bag you can cast , keep the bait rolling in , keep casting to different area,s , max 3 hrs during the day then recast

agree with nic carp will be feeding up for the long winter mate ,,,,,nic 100 yards is the margins lol how bigs that lake or is there carp in llandegfed now ,,,nah seriously carp know where to go for a feed just look for some natural bait holding areas , id bait up a couple of spots ,,good luck
