Good advice that asp333. I know a nice friendly tackle shop were i can go and handle some rods ... That sounds all kinds of wrong :)

You're right though you can't tell by looking at a picture on the net whether you'll like the fell of the rod. They have a nice Middy Waggler on offer for £40 I'll go and have a look.

Those Drenan and XRS rods look the business Nick but a bit out of my price range to be honest. Mind you I have some redundancy money coming my way so I might just go a bit mad. I'll probably be doing more fishing and might not have the money again any time soon.
