Korda Maggot Klip

I've just bought some small Maggot Klips and wondering if they catch a lot of carp? I've been using sweetcorn + mussels but they seem to be getting wary of these baits. They feed very confidently with maggots as only maggots and casters are allowed to be loosefed in this lake, should I attach maggots on the clip or casters? I am aiming for carp.

Re: Korda Maggot Klip

A gimmick that does produce fish

personally i would glue some maggots by their blunt end to a polly ball and attach that to your hair
Or thread some line through some maggots (use a needle) ,blunt end again and then tie it to the bend in your hook ,

You can use fake maggots and feed with real ,, it can get a bit costly as i tend to use about a gallon per session is using this rig

edit

i normally use a pva bad to feed with

A gallon? I didn't even know you could buy maggots by the gallon .. Hmm how long do your sessions last mine are about 9 -11 hours and i get through 2 pint but often enough another angler comes along and tops me up. Im wary of fake maggots as they have no smell?

you can buy as many maggots as your tub will hold .

keep your fake maggots in a small box witha few live , as for no smell
to a carp they do

i try to buy the dead ones as well , saves the pounds

Re: Korda Maggot Klip

Fake maggots work! I was dubious at first but I havent noticed any difference between real and fake, personnaly I dont use the maggot clips, I can only see the fish being harmed by them, I really dont like them!! have you seen the sharp end?? anyways just my opinion, if using maggots either fake or real I simply put then straight on the hook.]
