 Fished yesterday Well, finally got out yesterday. Was a cold wind, with a bit of rain but when the sun came out wasn't too bad weatherwise. To start with I fished 1 rod with a method feeder and esteberry bottom bait, and on the other rod pva bag with a plum pop-up 2 inches off bottom. After only 10 minutes I received a little beep on the alarm, was only a liner but it was a good start as it showed for fish were in the swim. There seemed to be a lot of disturbance going on when a real beast of a carp jumped out of the water which seemed to spook everything else, and my alarm screamed off. It turned out to be a foulhooked mirror carp which got off just before the net. A few hours passed with nothing and it started to rain. 10 minutes after the rain had stopped, around 5:30 I had a slow take on the plum pop-up (which i changed to only an inch off the bottom) I hooked into it and after a great fight landed a 10lb common carp.  As you can see I had quite a crowd, ruined the pic a bit I think!   Packed up after that and decided to call it a day!
