just wondered what type /make of scales people use to weigh their fish ?

for me it a big set of dial scales, up to 55lb in 1/2 ounce increments , i think,
(can only see the ounce divisions as eyes getting shot)

Set of 32lb Avons as I don't expect to catch anything larger than 32lb.

I also have a set of Fox digitals but I don't like using digitals (I've heard so many bad things about them) so they are kept in the car boot just in case I ever do catch a bigger Carp one day.

I have a cheapy set of perca digitals, only go to 15lb, great for river fishing, and a 55lb dial set that I use for sea and carp fishing. None are that inaccurate and as I only use them for personal comparison it is not the end of the world if they are not perfect.

I do not see the point in spending alot on scales when I only pleasure fish.

I've never owned a set of scales other than a small sprung one circa 1985 , BUT .. have been looking for a set on ebay and cant believe how cheap they are !
question was, do i get digital or the ole fashion pull round dial scales ...do i really need to weight fish ? do i actually care about the weight ?...i suppose once i get some i will want to weigh everything including the worms i dig !

I dont own a set of these but I hear good things about rueben heaton scales from friends, I think these are more for the specimen hunter.

reuban make scales for every type of angling matey,plus they are used in many other circumstances
They even use them nowadays to weigh my pick and mix lol

imho there are no better
