lost two carp's!!!

got up at half 5 yesterday morning to try and catch meself a fish ws fishing for 10 mins and at quarter to six i had me first bite and was a carp on a nice big bit of bread it took off like anything i say it was bout 10 pound what i cud see was nice and broad this is the canal i fish at bottom of my garden the thing is i was using a size 12 kasaman hooks i think they called and i thought they was alright hook's but this fish mangaged to bend it and got off at first i thought i snapd then saw i had a bent hook wasnt happy.then at 6:10 i had me second take on sweetcorn but that snagged me up so i had a bad day but had to laugh lol so gonna give it another bash tonight just hoping this wind will calm down.gonna make up some ground bait now just thought ill let ya know me bad day lol

Unlucky mate, maybe try a better brand of hooks? (I've no idea what kasaman hooks are like though). I find drennans hard to beat!

And what do you fish on never caught an carp on the canal?

I think the hooks in question are, kamasan, mustad and yes, Drennan are good

i catch em on sweetcorn or bread so much prefer catching carp out of canal then fishery so much hardr and so much stronger is worth the wait

Ok hooks is something not worth being cheap over. If i was you i'd buy the best hooks you can get or at least some hooks around 2.50 kamasans and low quality fishing shops sell them however i do not rate them at all!! i have lost fish and seen them lost due to these hooks. Its a NO GO for me. Good luck next time.
