Fly fishing for carp

I visited a local commercial mainly carp water this afternoon
and stood with a chap who was flyfishing for carp with dog biscuits.

He was using a deer hair imitation biscuit.....and had loads of carp bubbling around and taking the freely fed real biscuits
but they could tell his "fly" wasnt quite right.

I have myself tried super gluing hooks to biscuits but this was years ago....
has anyone got any new ideas about making this technique work better ?
