Talking catching the Ctenopharyngodon idella

i fished a new venue last-night with tench and big grass carp i didnt have a single bite or run, i know how to catch tench, but dont have a clue how to catch grass carp. Whats your prefered method to catch them, what bait, and how?

the lake i fish is not commercial it is never fished and they are very shy!

Corn and hemp then, try to keep the baits as natural as possible, might even catch one on a fly in the warmer weather!

grass was introduced into british waters to clear weed therefore if was be i would fish a pop up in the weed

If it's not a pressured lake then keep it's natural... I use sweetcorn and light simple rigs.

They will be very wary of noise and disturbance but won't have seen a rig so will be easy to hook. If your in the right spot
