Exclamation Help!

Evening all...my mate had all of his carp gear stolen last night about £8,000 worth , luckily he's covered by his house insurance...which made me check out the parents insurance...bad news my fishing kit is only covered up to £300 as my gear is stored in the garage...I was wondering if anyone could help me out with a decent insurer which will just insure my fishing kit to 5K+ in a garage not connected to the main house. I haven't found anything yet .

Cheers

Re: Help!

I use the Nation Farmers Union, but when ever you sort out a policy, make sure you explain about your fishing kit, then make sure you make sure that the place you store it is well secured, shankless padlocks. Check out leaflets on crime prevention.
Have a look in the mags, there are some companies who do specialised policies for anglers in the small ads in the back.

Re: Help!

Hey thanks for the info...I went to the farmers union website and couldn't find anything about independent insurance without owning my own home...

Re: Help!

I find its always to best to 'phone. talk to a human, not click buttons on a computer, he says typing into one.
Try the NFA or what ever its called now, angling alliance or something. Some clubs can also get discounted insurance for members, also ask your local tackle dealers, some can sell you a specific policy to your needs.,
