Re: any advice for new carp rods

i borrowed a set for a play with
Have used Harrison for over 20 yrs mate original ballista,s Total british rods too and proven to be bomb proof and i can go to the factory if needed
I wanted something to get a bait well out to distance ,
have been using for the last 18mths greys x flite 50plus , never really trusted them so have always held back (the way i fish the guarantee ain't worth a toss)

i also have shimano, daiwa and Tricast rods of a lesser tc

the esp rods are very good

edit

i have no particular alliance to any make of rod , i just want one that can be abused (as in casting )

Re: any advice for new carp rods

HI Nick, as you may already know, i have grey's ex flite+50 and i can hit some big distances with the right line.

About six monthe ago i got a price on four torrix and it doesn't justify the extra ten yards you might aswell buy a bait boat ( i have one with a hard wired feature finder)

They are nice rods but you said you always use flurocarbon. fair play for helping people. Have you got any catch reports from the last two years with pictures?

Re: any advice for new carp rods

Chill out, i struggled to understand your writing.

Spiel look it up in the dictonary and you will understand what it means.

All you need to do is post some catch reports and photo's and the forum will believe you.

Re: any advice for new carp rods

It all depends

At this moment in time i can not have any time of from work untill the end of sept due to the type of work i do , i work 5 full days and 2 mornings at week ends . which is a total pisser but a man has to live

we also fish on a 3 week rota due to the membership and we have a close season from the end of nov till the end of march

I think this topic should be cleaned up and returned to the original question
