Percentage of salt

What percentage of salt do people use in their spod mix,s

I normaly put two handfulls in. That's onto a bucket that contain about 3ltrs of bait tho. I also add chilli powder.

Not sure about spod mixtures but my roach groundbait isnt really that precise! its usually a mad concoction of everything and anything i find in the cupboards!

Exactly mate I've been using all sorts of stuff.

Veda bread & nutty crust put through the blender is awesome! i've even added some corn flakes, digestive biscuits & fruit scones lol

never tried salt?

all i use is groats(naked oats) hemp corn and some vitalin to thicken it up slightly and make it cloud.. then 1lb of sugar and boil away until i get a yummy sweet sticky mix

I put in 4 ounces per kilo of dried mix

Carpies love salt ( thats why yeast /marmite is so good as a attractor

I have just put salt in the margins and watch mr carpy really go to town on it ,soon clearing some spots

Is to much to bad though or do we think that it dissolves in the water there smelling it but not really consuming it?

We would not be able to give to much due to the dilution levels .

Dont think 25 kilo in A million gallons would go far

Ye I know lol I meant more as in you wouldn't want to use very high in salt content baits that the carp will actually eat?
