why do you need them loud??? do you move too far away from the peg or a very heavy sleeper??

Re: Carp bite alarms

I have bite alarms that are worth about £20 each... what is the difference between these and the ones that are ridiculous prices? they still do the same job so are they worth the extra ton?!

Re: Carp bite alarms

mate to be honest i dont think they are.....i have micron mmx.....3 of them yeah ok they aint the cheapest but they aint expensive either...... ive just sold that set on ebay of the rx's for 345? they didnt quite meet the reserve i wanted but i have offered them to the highest bidder anyway.....the only difference is i can change how sensitive they are and they have a reciever....i personally think that is a tackle tarts tool and not a fishermans tool..

however i am buying myself a cheap set..... vt5's?....for when i fish in france.....simply because i can sleep through anything and need a reciever clipped to my ear to wake me up if i get a run!
