| Bulley Lane Carp Lake Gloucestershire Bulley Lane Carp Lake Gloucestershire After waking up to a lovely spring day I jumped into my car for a day’s fishing at Bulley Lane Carp Lake. My partner in crime was kabbychris of which I would be meeting at the Bulley Lake but found him in a lay-by on the way there having a bacon butty from a van. This was the first time I have fished Bulley lane so I was very much looking forward to this day. So Bulley Lake is set in lovely open country side and actual consists of two lakes, one carp and mixed fish and a second one (which was being sorted out due to being over grown) was meant to be for silver fish. So after a little bit of banter with Chris we decided to fish the shallower end of the lake as our thinking was that the bottom part would have been hit hard after a busy weekend due to the nice weather. I was the first one to make contact with a carp which was taken on Babybell cheese chunk. The fish gave a good scrap even though the carp was small. It was a quiet day but as the company and weather was so good the time flew by with Chris giving his all lol I was lucky enough to get another carp on Babybell cheese again and the colours and condition of the carp was spot on. Unfortunately Chris didn’t get any joy on the day but I made sure I rubbed it in though hehe Bulley Lane Carp Lake is a well kept lake and cost £8.00 for the day and you can fish dawn to dust. On the day there was three other people fishing so wasn’t too busy although I cannot say how busy Bulley Lane Carp Lake gets at weekends. You can park your car by your peg which is also handy if you’re an old fart like me.
