up for fishing?

Hi all,
Im thinking about getting together with a few of you guys for a carp fishing session in a couple of months time. Preferably around the Bristol/Glos/Somerset area.

Any suggestions on where to fish or weather you would be up for it?

Re: up for fishing?

Yeah, I mean im up for pretty much any time or place and a weekender sounds even better, especialy if your coming from london alec....make the most of it.

If you guys got any suggestions on any lakes and what month you prefer then fire away and we can get something sorted.

alex82, I know there is a lot of lakes up your way like watermark fisheries and all the old gravel pits, what are they like coz ive never fished there myself?

Re: up for fishing?

kirk if you drive and fancy dropping down into somerset for a fish then have a look at velocity angling complex..... unfortunately the main lake is now syndicate ... i fished it last year on a day ticket and although challenging i did well!

but they have a ''runs water'' 5 acres with carp to just over 20lb

if i had the money i would be in on the syndicate for sure... it was a great place

Re: up for fishing?

Dave I work with a friend who goes to velocity and does say it is very nice and says it does fish very well. Im hoping to get down there as soon as I can.
Off the top of your head, do you know how much it is to join the syndicate?

Cheers

Re: up for fishing?

Cheers Dave, I don't think I will be joining as I don't really have the money and don't like to fish lakes that get over crowded often. Will have to pop down and fish the other lake sometime thou.

I have had a look on the todber manor website and the lakes there look pretty good, good runs water and plenty of stock, so I think this could be an option to do a weekender.
Also Lemington Lakes looks like a good one, well looked after and really beautiful fish.

Have a look at both of these and tell me what you think....get the ball rolling.

Cheers guys
