Korda vs Nash DVD

Hi all I have just sat and watched both the korda Carp tackle, tactics & tips vol3 and the Nash Tackle & tactics 2010.
Whilst watching the korda dvd i notice that Danny Fairbrass came out with the comment (you should not buy a carp rod under £100).
WHY???????? Surely there are some pretty good carp rods out there for well under the £100 mark.
I know he admits he is a tackle tart, but surely this is a stupid statement to make. Especially when theres just been the biggest resession ever seen. I think this bloke needs to get back in touch with reality.
Just wondering what you guys think about this????
Also in my opion the Nash dvd which is also free makes for better watching as its more about the fishing rather than bigging up Daiwa in every sentance.

Re: Korda vs Nash DVD

I've seen both DVDs Danny fairbres is sponsered by diawa and even has developed rods. His DVD is only done done to advertise and sell diawa and korda. I got a bit cheesed of with it as it's filmed in France gigantica lakes which D F owns. The Nash DVD was a nice easy watch with simple ideas. I use ESP reflex rods I use 3 of and they cost me £90 each super rods. I also have a whychwood carp rod paid £40 for it I use it to spod as it's 3 1/2 lb test curve. Super rod does what I need it to do.

Re: Korda vs Nash DVD

I have seen the Korda one thought it was ok...

Got to to rememeber to get the anglers there and to make the DVD it has to be funded ie the sponsorship. But if daiwa wasn't in it every 5 mins the DVD would cost you money.

Re: Korda vs Nash DVD

The post was more to do with the statement he makes in the dvdrather than the sponsership he keeps talking about.
just wanted to see what people thought about the comment.

lol

I believe origionally he got the blanks via the tackle box and got them to custom build them...
Now if I wanted the same rods I would rather pay that little bit extra on each one and make them look a bit different and not have his name on them...
As for the kind of money they will be I would rather have my own personnel built jobbies :)

I have sonik sk3 rods 3 for 200 pound and I think they look and feel really nice.. And are a joy to play fish on..
At the end of the day it all depends how much you want to spend.
I've seen ppl with the most expensive rods and reel setup and watched them cast painfully bad. On the other hand My close friend has got cheap setup and is on the money everytime.

It's more anglers abilitly than setup in my opinion
