What Mainline????

Hi People
I have just purchased 2 new reels, and i want to know what would be a good mainline to spool them up with, im looking for between 12-15lbs mainline
I know this is a personal preferance thing , but any advise would help
If its any help the reels are wychwood exorcist 65s

Hiya,

My choice is for Fox Barbuster in 12-15lb for snaggy fishing as its so tough. Fox Soft steel in 12lb for distance work and all round fishing i use P line in 15lb. Also Daiwa sensor is a good cheap all round line.

But as you say, its a personal thing

I have been using gr60 line with no problems but recently swapped over to the ultima power carp (fluro coated) found this to be very good so far.

Just run it threw a cloth when you reel in after each session to keep it clean and keep it's effective properties.

X line Seems to be another favorite but I was recommended the ultima stuff so tried that first. Also been playing around with daiwa sensor but to early to report back about that one.

Diawa Sensor in big spools. Doesn't make your eye's water when you grate it against a rock and need to respool.
