UphamFarm Ponds

Has anyone fished the UphamFarm ponds..

If so what lake and bait would be the best as i fished it a thew times and caught small i was hoping to pull something out bigger ...

There seems to be alot of small crucians that are really nice. But i am looking to get a nice mirror or common in double figures

Cheers Jake

Re: UphamFarm Ponds

If you want some thing bigger I would recomend going to south view farm in shillingford if u search shillingford there are some old posts. I've had alot of success there. Fishing is easy and hectic.

Re: UphamFarm Ponds

I have fished upham for a few years now and the ponds with the bigger fish are pond 4 & 7. pond 7 is the specimen lake which has fish ranging from 5lb to around 21lb. I helped stock this lake with the owner james :)

Re: UphamFarm Ponds

i like upham and feel its just as easy as shillingford when i go there i usually just do an evening and fish pond 4 with breadflake tight in the margin and if the weather is warm then surface tactics work well too :)

when it warms up a bit and ive come out of hibernation i will meet you up there one day!

Re: UphamFarm Ponds

Great fun if you want large fish, fish pond 4 right under the bank corners are good. Hope that helps. Fishes well spring but needs weed from my experience as most of the fish float about on the top when its hot as theres a lack of oxygen in the water. Might be a good idea to relocate some of the fish in there as its so heavily stocked. Love upham had some great sessions there.
