| Re: Reel advise (sizes) flurocarbon will sink better than mono and is less visable. you can always use a flying back lead to pin down the last few yards of your rig. Or slide a back lead on from your rod tip once your rig is in position, this will get most of your mainline on the deck no need to fish slack lines then. |

| Re: Reel advise (sizes) Trouble with that is the lake I'm fishing at the moment the contours of the lake rise up and down a few times before my hookbait so putting a backlead on makes the line sit at a funny angle three my swim. I always use flying backlead to keep the last few ft of line after my hookbait pinned down. Just use some pva string to stop it flying to far back. But I like to fish slack lines as I like the bite detection it's gives me. I spooled up with Korda adrenaline to see what's it's like. Very nice for casting and playing the fish but find it's awkward to sink etc... Cheers guys |
