Re: Bait!!

From cat scoff to marmite. the list is endless. Tescos supreme mog nosh is brill, and stays on the hook well during casting. Prawns are a good magnet so is marmite and trout pellet paste

Re: Bait!!

Zach the thing is, youre using a pukka bait flavour for winter (the tutti's) and the source is a really good nutritional bait too.

Maybe its not the bait? Without knowing a bit more about your fishing its hard to help but I fish a rock hard water and tuttis and source have both looked after me.

Youre welcome to fill me in on the details if you want a hand. How long have you been carping for?

Re: Bait!!

At this time of year the fish arnt feeding as much. And arnt moveing about looking for food.
You need to put the bait infront of them.

Its possible you didnt have any fish in the swim at the time. Or ur rigs or presantations wrong.

Re: Bait!!

I would think about the presentation of the bait, things like the hook size can make a huge diffence. I have seen people trying fish maggot on a size 6 hook. I would also look at the venue and talk to the other anglers see what they are catching on, ask to look at there set up or tips they may have.

Try baits like , Meat, Bread, Worms. always be willing to try something new, you never know it may be the best thing since sliced bread.

But i think the best way to fish is to enjoy yourself.

Steve
