Mainline! What do you guys use and advice?

Hi guys
I been handed down some reels from a buddy they are shimano ultegra xta 12000

I was just wondering what you guys use as mainline?
I have been recommended gr60 I had some fox stuff on my old reels but never really got on with it. Found it to coil a lot wheb pulling some off wheb trying to fish slackish lines :s

With line being expensive would you guys put say some cheap backing line on the reel first?

I have read abou the adrenaline ring v.good but is it mainly for long distance work?

I have spare spools so was thinking of having some line for close work and then some for long distance?
I like to put gardener flying back leads on would you ever use mono one the reel with some flurocarbon as a leader for it's camo properties? I know fluro is not meant to be a very good distance casting line?

Any advice appreciated many thanks

http://www.ultimauk.com/power-carp.htm

This the best there is

but i also use sensor , £7 for a bulk spool ,never had a problem with it , never lost a fish on it and at that price you can replace line 5/5 times a yr. bulk spool will do 3 1200 spools.

i never use backing line ,i if needed i use insulation tape
