| Re: Weed fishing Sorry are you saying slack line has the best indication? I didn't know that I use I because the lake I hbe been fishing I really belive the fish shy away from tight lines specially if you are set up next to a friend and there is six lines going from you to the island for example. The lake I was fishing I believed we where stopping the carp from patrolling this our side of the island as when we left we saw them move in... Next time we fishes we both fished slack lines with flying backleads. (there was features between us and our rigsao didn't want to use normal backleads as have read it's no good when there are deeper/shallow sections between us you and your rig. I think I'm fishing slack lines properly I cast out and then I put the rid tip into the water sink my line ( while putting and slack onto the reel) then sit them on the rests and play some more line of the reel till it's got a nice fall from rod tip to the water. Then place a really light bobbin on and sometimes the bobbin raises back up so I let a bit more off. I'm cursing it raises up because the line is still sinking into every bit of the lake bed. Is this slack line or semi slack? Or am I meant to just cast out and sink the line without pulling on the excess line? I kind of tighten to the lead then sink it. If that makes any sense lol Cheers |
