As your local, we do some experiments with some of the differnt flavours in chillies. I think there is someting to this, as commercial baits I'm sure are prepared with oleoresins, and there only two factories producing this, again I think, which seriously limits the flavours.

ive never had any problems with drying it out with a ground bait etc

i also add a small amount of garlic powder to mine to compliment my home made boilies
