Re: Carp Equipment

Davefish is right, visit a tackle shop. There is a plus to this as holding the kit in your hand will let you know how much you like it. E-Bay will show you a pic, but thats no experience for holding the item in your hands.

Re: Carp Equipment

This may seem a bit selfish, but if you see a deal in a magazine or even on Evil-Bay, ask you tackle shop can they do a better deal or something close to the deal. At the end of the day if you can save money! Everyone talks about supporting local tackle shops and I do agree with this, but there are some tackle shops out there that say they are doing you a deal when in fact they are not and they are selling the item at the same price as everyone else. If the tackle shop supports the angler then the angler will support the shop. Everyone needs to make a living but not at my cost!!!!!

Re: Carp Equipment

Always better to use a tackle shop as you can touch feel and see what your getting. and get free advice too.

just imagine you buy a pack of hooks of the internet when they arrive their all blunt. least in a shop you can inspect your purchase.

also when you look into internet shopping once you've added postage cost they sometimes work out no cheaper anyway, then you have to wait for it to get there.

Re: Carp Equipment

Buy most of my kit from my local but if i can get a better deal else where and my tackle shop cant match then i will get it from them.
Use 1 mail order company that always beats anyone else and can trust them never had a problem give advice even it cost them the sale.
