Pavyotts mill new PB's

Hi all well went down to the controversial Pavyotts mill for a 48hr tuesday. My partners in crime where Roger(father in law) Matty(burkey69) & les. The weather was looking good for fishing so we set up in peg 13, matty&les in peg 12 started fishing using pavyotts house bait after 3hrs not a sniff but could see signs of fish moving, so abit of a rethink and a change of bait cast out 1 rod by reeds started setting other rod when BBBEEEEEPPPP YEP FISH ON after a good battle and getting tangled in my other rod(even with backleads on) was safely in the net with a first imprestion of it hit the scales at 39.6lb a new pb

Sorry about picture quality Roger is useless at taking pictures he still looks through lens to see picture instead of looking at screen
Well after that it went dead again(this is not an easy water)and with trying every tactic under the sun apart from dynamit i could not tempt another fish. Roger had a 4lber. Les on the last morning had a 36lber

And Matty (burkey69)was hopeing for a 20lber to break his pb of 18lb when he had a 43lber Sorry no photo of that 1 he will put it on later.
We all had a Brilliant time and some good fish, That is what its all about at end of day to enjoy yourself.

Re: Pavyotts mill new PB's

It's heartbreaking to catch the fish of your life then have to settle for a poor pic

Get yourself a nice camera, tripod and remote, you dont have to press the shutter button yourself then, you can if u want, but you can be in control of everything else

I got a pentax optio from ebay for £25 and a remote was £1 and tripod another £1, best ting i ever bought

so small it fits in a mint tin, take it anywhere

crackin fish boys, pardon my ignorance, what is so 'conroversial' about this place then?

Its been in the press and most of the magazines that the maze lake has been stocked with legal but foreign fish, and steve is planning on adding more fish. As he says in his statements that it is a business and with all business he is out to make money, as long as your happy to pay his prices then i can't see a problem. It's a chance for people to catch there dream fish he is not out to break any records its well publicised so its up to anglers if they want to fish it or not. the facilitys are brilliant and are built for comfort when fishing, I think there is nothing wrong with this as long as people are given the true facts.

aaaah righto

i dont read newspapers or watch tv so this all missed me lol

Sounds like a sound business plan, exploiting those who want to 'buy' a 40+, fair play to him, and them!

But I thought ALL carp were foreign species anyway :S

weren't the 'British' stockings introduced from Asia?
