| Re: newbie targeting carp and tench hi mate, try a method feeder with a tiger nut hook bait, use vitalin dog food as your method mix with a few tigers thrown in as freebies, dont use hemp, small pellets, luncheon meat,as you will attract smaller fish, sport will be a bit slower, but you should get a better stamp of fish,up your mainline to 10lb and a 6lb hook link with a size 10 hook good luck.. |

| Re: newbie targeting carp and tench ok to avoid the roach dont put hemp in your groundbait try a cage feeder with karma groundbait(formeley known as voodoo)sonubaits scopex corn and red maggot so bait up your feeder start with a later of grounbait about 5 or 6 corn maggot then pack it in with some more ground bait use maggot on your hooklength as well about 2 or 3 should be ok (bait the hook first as the maggot may escape the feeder and be quick when casting as the movement of the maggot will break the groundbait down) to spot tench look under any cover on the water-lily pads ,overhangs ect and pre bait the swim with a few micro pellets and 6mm halibut pellets if there are tench feeding the water will look like its fizzing with little air bubbles be patient as tench can be shy ,you should get carp on this method as they will be after the groundbait as well - tight lines |
