| Re: How Do I Go About Catching A Carp? First of you will need a rod. I would go for anything over a 3 on test curve. It all depends on the budget as to make. When you arrive at a fishery don't just walk to the first peg and fish. Take a rod and walk around you want to be looking of signs of fish I.e mud from the bottom stired up or bubbles. In warm summer days carp will take floati g baits such as dog biscuit bread etc. You also want to be looking for features that would attract fish such as a fallen tree or over hanging trees. Try putting I. A little ground bait and see how the fish respond. Hope this helps tj |

| Re: How Do I Go About Catching A Carp? Hi Rob, I have to say mate a lot depends on where your are fishing as each venue differs and a lot of it is down to trial and error, but i try to find the fish rather than the fish find me so i have to agree with tj look out for signs of where the fish are and try putting your bait at different depths in the water so many people fish on the top or on the bottom but a lot of the time the fish are mid water so find where they are and at what depth they are at and bingo your in mate.
