gloucester fishing - help

hi, ive been fishing now for about 12 years on and off, just finishing my uni degree and want to go fishing mad over the summer. i live in gloucester and really want to hook into a BIG carp, i descovered Tirley court last summer and pulled a 17lb PB but never saw anything much over 22.

What im really asking is if any one knows of a decent stocked lake round the gloucester area with plenty of 20 & 30 + carp??

I'm back from uni over easter so will get a good chance to try some places out hopefully.

You could try the cotswold water park. There are loads of day ticket lakes with big fish of all species in. I fished the neighbridge lake and a 22lb common but there are known 30's and 40's. Also linear fisheries is only a 40 minute drive from gloucester.

Re: gloucester fishing - help

a bit too far for me really, looking for something me and a few mates can get too within about 30mins, have considered cotswold water park before but still looking for something a bit closer...........picky i know! but thanks for all your advice guys, appreciate it.

I'm guessing because no one has come up with anything within the imediate vicinity of glos that there isnt anything

All though i do have plans to catch some preds and barbel this year, so not all hope is lost. If there are people around glos that have knowledge of the sharpness canal/ river severn/ wye/ avon who can teach me a thing or too about fishing these waters please let me know.
