| shimano bx 12 ft float rod Hi all i am thinking of buying this rod SHIMANO Alivio BX Match Float Fishing Rod 12 ft at £39. 7lb max line. Now my question is my local fishing club has a small lake, to small to use a ledger/carp rod i was just wondering would this rod be good for the small carp in there which i think average 5lb. I really dont want to buy it and it aint up to the job .Or is there a better rod someone could recommend for around £40. Thanks |

| Re: shimano bx 12 ft float rod You can never go wrong with a Shimano. You will certainly know if you get a 5lb Carp on it, but it will be able to handle it as long as you have the clutch set to the right setting on your reel. __________________ Check my blog for a daily fishing forecast from Weymouth, Portland, Chesil Beach & Kimmeridge Bay. www.fishingtails.co.uk |
