| Re: bluewaterlakes Hi Bob, welcome to the forum. I fished the left hand swim on the point, I was fishing into the shallow areas under the trees, a swim and features that did require the use of a bait boat. I had the best luck using the matrix fishmeal boillies bought on site, these fish seemed tuned into them as a food source. The shallow areas did best on the evenings after a really hot day, the fish were on the smaller side though, bigger fish were coming out of other swims. If you are chasing the cats then the swim I had is not recommended as when they run they will either go for the snags or turn the point and you will wrap around one of the trees. My swim was more of a " hit and hold" spot, you needed to be on the rods to stop getting snagged. I am sure Jim will put you on a good spot, he kept trying to move me to a different swim as he said the smaller ones were in my swim, but I chose it for social reasons, not fishing reasons. I also suggest a site boillie tipped with artificial corn, seemed to be the killer bait, and had done well for other groups too. I hope you enjoy your stay, we really did and we are going back in June for another go, still got 3 places up for grabs ( subject to confirmation from a couple).
