Talking PB from Pavyotts mill

Hi just got back from 48hrs at Pavyotts mill Yeovil, WOW had my English pb mirror of 31.8lb We (my father-in-law Roger) had a great time we fished josh's lake for 24hr to put some bends in the rods before we went onto the Maze which we were told by Steve (the owner) that it was fishing slow. We managed a few fish upto 16lb. They go upto 28lb in Josh's. With most of the fish coming in the morning. We then decided to fish peg7 on the Maze where we could see fish rolling by the island. We where using ccmoores XXX boilies topped off with fake corn, after about 3 hours Roger decided to go and have a shower (very hot day) so left me in charge for half hour, just as he got out of view all hell broke loose with my rod screaming off at a million mph, What a fight it went straight through both of rogers rods so i had to reel both of them in aswell as play this monster, Just as i landed my pb Roger turned up. We took some photo's with steve coming around to scan the fish for ID so we can keep a record of waight and pegs he has been caught out of. All was slow after that which after that battle i was pleased with. I walked around the lake to find 20-30 big carp(20-40lb) all in peg 4 but with people booked in to that peg we stayed where we was. Roger had a nice fish of 26.1/2lb that knew how to find the weed bed and snagged him up for 5 min before he popped out. In all we had a teriffic time and are itching to get back down (misses says not till the 10th next month) can't wait. Photos to follow

Thumbs up Re: PB from Pavyotts mill

Cracking session KC. Not heard of the place before, but as it's not far from where I live, I shall definately add it to my places to fish list. Do you have a link to their website?
